The spear thistle plant from which I picked the last flower on October 26th
was all grey and dry just one week after.
Then, a month later, in the beginning of December:
a fresh spear thistle
carried flowers in the same spot.
I think that was due to the unusually mild autumn (hmmm?)

What I put on my scanner today
was the remains of this second plant.
