In Georgetown, Colorado
first snow for the year
made a fairytale
- snow white, rosy red -
out of Phillip's roses
on September 8th
and prevented the house
from getting painted that day.

Two months for this
virtual postcard to arrive
in electronic S-weed space.
Many steps in the process:
photos to be developed
brought to Kathie
to be scanned
and put on the Web
and
me to get there and grab them
and do my slow part
in fitting them into
the scheme of S-weed things.
I had meant
to place them with my Briar

they ended up just barely
with the first snow here.
