Common Hemp-nettle,
Göteborg, July 6th, 2001

Galeopsis tetrahit
Pipdån: oktober, maj, juni, mars

Eva Ekeblad, 2001

No returners today.
...I wrote, mistaking the Common Hemp-nettle
  for its Large relative.
  Not so strange, perhaps
  lacking the experience
I did not expect an albino
  like this one

These three newcomer S-weeds will have their space
even if they, like the Gallant Soldier, are hiding
under the bushes
and none as showy as the flowers of yesterday.

Wood Groundsel

Senecio sylvaticus
Bergkorsört i december, i juni
och i september

All from the southeast corner by the Mall.

The Hemp-nettle: in the grassy, wooded strip of ground separating the street from the main road.
The Galinsoga: a decimated guerrilla, their patch was weeded a few days ago - all who had ventured out in the open were taken without pardon.
The Groundsel: In the same patch of ornamental shrubs - no idea how its brazen strategy saved it from being pulled up, it was very visible as a weed. Sheer luck. Then, it's another matter entirely, that without Erik pointing me to it I would not have looked twice, to distinguish it from the Sticky and the Common, both featured the day before yesterday.
On the other hand, my finding of the Cow Basil of yesterday was quite enough to make Erik find that spot noteworthy. And make further observations...

Gallant Soldier

Galinsoga parviflora
Gängel i juni, i augusti, i oktober och i maj
