  The roadbank is steep enough not to agree very well with the summer sandals I have been wearing: I slip downhill inside my shoes. Going up is OK, but getting down is tricky. So today (my third visit) I donned a pair of winter boots - I don't OWN a pair of sneakers. In the heat my feet were getting a bit swollen in their confinement - they really HURT from the pressure of the slope...
  Evidently, though, climbing the bank worked the magic: NOW, of course, I have seen the Imperforate flowering on flat ground, in the junk car parking ground
