The thistle rosettes have been there, and bristly, all winter
- mostly the Spear Thistle, I realize now, since the Welted Thistle plant that I pinched one small leaf from a month ago, and had been looking at for longer than that... I just didn't recognize without a little help from my friends.
I think I had expected more bristle.
