Ullig kardborre i maj, i juli och i augusti

Where the downy burdock grew
the summer before last
two burdock leaves
pale from undercover activity
poke through the dry brown blanket
(mostly maple)

downy offspring, I assume
but may of course be wrong.

Flixweed
Descurainia sophia
Dillsenap: maj, juli, september, januari

was weeded all away
at the bus center
since the summer before last...
well, I thought so.

One of the seedlings is from there
the other two from
the Next Block
where the fourth and last side
is currently getting
its new lawns made ready
