the old swedish spring ritual
of beating the rugs
is quite out of custom these days
though the two racks, horizontal and vertical
remain as witness

the honeysuckle grows under the horizontal rack
though my camera is too tired
to show it clearly

as for the wintercress
there's a whole colony of it here
around the rug-beating rectangle
